Overview

No two tours are the same

Most Osaka tours run the same fixed route every day. This one is the opposite. Before your trip, you tell us your interests, your must-visit spots, your pace, and the kind of day you want. We design a walking route just for your group, and on the day itself your guide adjusts everything in real time.

Along the way, you eat. Food is not included in the price, and that is on purpose: you pay only for what and how much you actually order, rather than a fixed menu built for the average tourist. Your guide handles the ordering, recommends the best spot at each stop, and teaches you a few Japanese phrases so you feel at home at the counter. Most guests spend ¥1,500 to ¥3,000 on food over the course of the tour.

How it works

Booking, step by step

  1. Send us your dates

Use the request form on this page, or message us on Instagram. It takes about a minute and no payment is needed. Tell us your dates, your group size, and what you are into.

  2. We reply within 24 hours

We check guide availability for your dates and reply with a clear quote, the meeting point, and answers to anything you asked. If your first choice is taken, we suggest the closest options.

  3. You confirm and pay

Once the date and details are agreed, we send you a secure Stripe payment link. Your date is held for you as soon as the payment goes through.

  4. We design your route

This is where the custom part happens. We build your itinerary around your interests, check opening hours and reservations, and send you the plan before the tour day.

We need at least 3 days between your request and your tour date. Every itinerary is researched from scratch for your group and the route is only built after payment is confirmed, so a shorter run-up does not leave enough time to do it properly.

Things to know

Before you book

  • Send your request at least 3 days ahead. That is the minimum we need to confirm a guide and design your custom route. Anything shorter and we will most likely have to turn it down.
  • Tell us your interests at booking. The more you share, the better your route will be.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes. You will cover roughly 4 to 8 km depending on tour length.
  • Come with an appetite. Most guests eat at 2 to 4 stops over the tour. Food and drinks are paid as you go, not included in the tour price.
  • Carry cash. Many food stops are cash-only. Plan ¥3,000 to ¥5,000 per guest. Seven Bank (inside 7-Eleven) and Japan Post ATMs accept foreign cards.
  • Rain or shine. Much of Osaka is covered by arcades, so we adjust to stay dry. We only cancel for extreme weather like typhoons.
  • Dietary restrictions: we cannot adequately accommodate vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diets. Osaka street food is built around dashi (fish stock), meat, seafood, soy, and wheat, so safe options are too limited. Allergies (shellfish, peanuts, eggs, etc.) we handle case by case, just tell us at booking.
  • Families welcome. Children 6 to 12 are 50% off. Children under 6 are free and do not count toward the 6-guest maximum.
