Private Den Den Town Otaku Tour with a Maid Cafe
The fun, quirky side of Osaka
Nipponbashi, known to locals as Den Den Town, is Osaka's home of anime, games, and pop culture, often called the Akihabara of the west. On this private tour, a local guide walks you along its main street and quiet backstreet arcades and shows you the fun, quirky side of Japan that most visitors never find.
We warm up at a quirky RC cafe where you drive real radio-controlled excavators and diggers over a drink, then wander the Nipponbashi shopping street and browse floors of anime figures, hobby shops and airsoft stores, stopping to try your luck at a gachapon store lined with hundreds of capsule-toy machines. The highlight is a real Japanese maid cafe, where you enjoy a drink, a cheki instant photo, and the full welcome. We also stroll Doguyasuji, Osaka's kitchenware street, and share the stories behind the district along the way.

What guests say
Meet your guides
Our guides are local Osaka experts. Some are Osaka natives, others are long-term residents from abroad who have called this city home for years. All of them speak fluent English, and every one knows the backstreets of Nipponbashi, from the big pop-culture stores to the small shops tucked away off the main street.
"Our goal is a relaxed, fun afternoon. A bit of play, a lot of quirky Osaka, and the real pop-culture side of the city that most visitors walk right past."
We run these as small private groups because the best way to see this side of Osaka is at your own pace, with someone who can answer your questions and shape the day around what you are into. No rushing, no big groups, just a good afternoon out together.
