Where exactly do we meet?
In front of Don Quijote Shinsekai at 17:30. Please arrive by 17:20. After you book, we send you a Google Maps link, your guide's phone number, and a photo of the meeting spot so you cannot miss it.
How much food and drink is included?
Four food stops (kushikatsu, takoyaki, gyoza, and Nishinari-style horumon) plus three drinks (beer, highball, or soft drink, your choice). It is a full dinner's worth of food.
What language is the tour in?
The tour is conducted in English.
I am vegetarian, vegan, or have allergies. Can I still join?
We do not currently offer vegan-friendly food on this tour. If you are vegetarian, please contact us before booking, we may be able to make some adjustments depending on the night but cannot guarantee it. For severe allergies (shellfish, wheat, and so on) we cannot accommodate them safely because of cross-contamination in small local shops.
I am traveling alone. Is that OK?
Absolutely. The tour is fully private, so as a solo guest it is just you and your guide. If you are the only one on the booking, the tour runs at a flat $119 for one person.
Will I be sharing the tour with other guests?
No. This is a fully private tour. It is only your group, up to five guests, with your guide. You will never be grouped with strangers.
What if it rains?
The tour runs rain or shine. Most of the route is covered or sheltered. We only cancel for extreme weather like typhoons, in which case you receive a full refund or a free reschedule.
Is the tour accessible for wheelchairs or strollers?
Some parts of the route are not wheelchair or stroller accessible. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before booking and we will do our best to advise.
Do I need to pay for the guide's food or drinks?
No. You do not need to pay for the guide's food and drinks.
